Freshly Made Sketches AND Curtain Call: XOXO

My card today is for two challenges: Freshly Made Sketches and the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.

The sketch was created by Karren.

The Curtain Call Inspiration is XOXO.

I had an idea using both!!

Hugs & Kisses

This is a rare card for me.  I looked at the challenges, a light bulb came on immediately, and I had a card five minutes later.  Not only was it quick and easy - I like it!!

Truth be told, I just didn't have much time.  My poor husband had major foot surgery and the recovery isn't going well.  It was a 4-hour surgery - ugh - and in about 3 months, he'll know whether it solved his problem (constant pain).  Then if it solved the problem, he gets to do it all over on his other foot.  The poor guy is flat on his back for two weeks, then on a knee scooter for two months. He's going to go crazy particularly considering our son is at school all day and I work all day. Luckily, I work 3 miles from home so I can pop up a couple of times a day and make sure he's fed and watered!  He's in bed full-time for now, but when he does get up and around, we've set up an area by the computer with a table for jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, TV remote, and his Kindle charger!

It's a great sketch and I love the fresh inspiration!  I hope to see you playing along.

SUPPLY LIST

The glitter paper is Stampin' Up's retired Champagne paper.

I love a card that comes from an a-ha moment. This one is fantastic. I, too, am sorry to hear about your husband and his discomfort. Hoping that the recovery process speeds up for him and this is a good solution. Hugs!

Nothing better than a quick card that comes out so adorable! Love this! And I sympathize with your husband as I have had three foot surgeries myself - it is awful and so limiting! Hope his recovery goes well!

Your card is sweet and simple-perfect! Sometimes, less time makes fo better crafting because you can't second guess your creation. It's done and that's it!

First let me tell you how sweet your card is! Beautifully CAS and in those pretty Valentine colors. Love those "ping" cards!! Like this one!
Sorry to hear about DH. Surgery and the recovery is a long road, but remind him to do what the doctors and therapists are telling him to do, and not do! My DH has had multiple major surgeries, so if you want to call and ask me anything at all about the recovery period especially, just shoot me an email. I'll put him on my prayer list for a successful recovery and that the pain goes! Take care, my friend. Bev

First, umpteen apologies for being MIA; I was marking diploma exams in my 'home' city and the 7 days I was initially schedule for transformed into 12 (talk about blurry eyes!). The bonus was staying with my mom, enjoying plenty of time with her as well as my niece and nephew. On the other hand, I've fallen light years behind in commenting! Hopefully, you received the thought-bubble oohings and ahhings that accompanied my drop-in visits to your recent posts. Starting fresh here! I love this card! In fact, I'm thrilled to see it as part of Kara's challenge (new find for me), so we know what that means: casing you! Yayyy! Sorry to hear about your poor husband; sending prayers that his recovery will improve and hasten...
