SCS Featured Stamper 198

Set 249 - On a Pedestal

Sunday's challenge on Splitcoast Stampers is the Featured Stamper challenge.  They pick one person's gallery and we all find a card that we want to CASE.  Today's featured stamper is criminalgrace.  It's a wonderful clean and simple gallery with all kinds of unique touches.  My card is based on A Raspberry Autumn.
I loved the rich colors of the original (and Sarah's gorgeous coloring sent me running to E-Bay to try to find that stamp set so I can color exactly the way she did).  I also love the sideways sentiment.

This card is for a friend who loves rich colors and who has a birthday this week.  (Girlfriend...are you reading my blog yet??)  The colors are from today's Curtain Call Color Challenge.

These are the perfect colors for this card - a little gray for the stand, chocolate for the cake and the turquoise/cajun for the rich frosting!

Check out this post for a tutorial on the looped ribbon.
  • Stamps: Stampin' Up On a Pedestal, Paper Trey Round & Round ("birthday wishes")
  • Inks: Stampin' Up Basic Gray, Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turqoise, Cajun Craze
  • Papers: Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
  • Accessories: Stampin' Up Turquoise grosgrain, rhinestones, EK Success border punch, Tim Holtz tiny attacher.
